Pianofest in the Hamptons Announces Concerts for Summer 2022

Pianofest in the Hamptons returns this summer for a series of Monday evening concerts at Avram Theater in Southampton, plus additional concerts in East Hampton and Westhampton. One of the premier summer piano festivals on the East Coast, Pianofest launches its 34th season, June 20 - August 1, 2022.

Founded by the pianist Paul Schenly, Pianofest began as a creative vision—a community of pianists and piano-lovers surrounded by nature's wonder of the East End. Each summer since 1989, highly-gifted pianists from major conservatories continue to travel to the Hamptons to study with luminaries in the piano world. Practice sessions and master classes take place in a classic Hamptons’ manse where 11 grand pianos are actively used – including one in the kitchen!

Over 500 pianists have passed through the festival-school over the past three decades including Deutsche Grammophon recording artist Sergei Babayan, Michelle Cann, Awadagin Pratt, Orion Weiss and Steinway Artists Anderson & Roe Piano Duo.

This summer, Pianofest will highlight 18 brilliant artists in concert throughout Southampton, East Hampton, and Westhampton venues.

The concerts feature curated evenings of world-class music and an opportunity to meet-and-mingle with the Hamptons' community during post-concert receptions.
